Something About Saturdays

4 pm and the day seems warm and slow like treacle (i have always wanted to use this analogy- read it somewhere and stored it up). i spent the late morning at astra picking up groceries and ran into kookie and latest family addition having burgers there. k made it home in time for lunch so we had a nice lazy lunch with mummy- watching tv and chatting. sometimes routine represents the very best life has to offer. now as the afternoon melts into the evening, k is off to the gym and i will go walk a bit- and get ready for an evening to meet up with hussy and sam and the others. something about saturdays is so reassuring, letting you know that the world CAN slow down sufficiently on certain days to allow us to enjoy the little things we like doing so much at our own pace without needing to be anywhere immediately.

10 days of Catu in Our Lives

Surprisingly, even though we both have had cats before, Catu makes us sneeze and wheeze...so with heavy hearts we decided he should go to one of our friends. Life, however, seems to have other plans because 10 days later, allergies aside, he is still here. Firmly entrenched. In our house and hearts. And it looks like it might just stay that way. He's a kook, crazy and demanding and SO SOO adorable that even k, whose eyes have been persistently watering (allergy-wise), can't resist hugging and playing with him. This tiny tot has a way of making you smile, especially when he comes hopping towards the door as we walk in, rarin' to show us how much we were missed during the day.

and catu makes three!!

k surprised me today with a kitty cat to call our own. at a mere 6 weeks, he already shows signs of developing into quite a personality. the name game is on and suggestions pouring in from coffee to macchiato to borget (persian for cat) to socks. i think we will let him grow a name in the next few days but so far i seem to be calling him cattu the most.

banned.

i hate the blogger ban- just when we thought we were finally getting somewhere.
what is this going to achieve? other than irritated people who will find alternate means of getting their word across.

and just when we thought we were actually moving ahead.
