just browsing.

Image hosting by Photobucket

Nothing makes me tingle in anticipation more than having a stack of unread books on my bedside table. After a dinner at Nando's tonight, with just the right people, the four of us went to Liberty to browse (i think it's almost a calling in my life). By the way, for anyone who doesn't know,"browse" in jammie-speak, means a definite "buy".

And suddenly, a few books later, my Sunday looks brilliant.

it's the biggest catch 22. you can never have enough books. i hate going to bookstores for simply the reason that i can never leave without coming out broke.

i absolutely agree! Books can make my day so much better. I love reading on rainy days the most. I'm starting a book collection of my own...currently i'm reading The Broker by John Grisham, I'm almost done, it's a wonderful book. I love going to book stores. Libraries are just not the same! But I only buy the books I really like.

I liked The Curious Incident... I mean it wasn;t outrageous, but I still liked it. And it gave me insight and newfound respect for autistic people.

I thought Madras on Rainy days was dreadful. Q&A was interesting. Have you tried Jhumpa Lahiri and Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni? You know, we should have a book club, where everyone meets every week -- or every other week - at a coffee house and reccomends a book. What do you think??
